In the heart of the local community, The Griffins Head is a large country pub with the beautiful scenic views in the village, it really is a wonderful place to socialise. Over the spring of 2020, we refurbished the building, which dates back to 1286. During this period our highly trained chefs began creating our excellent menu. We overhauled all our furniture with new chairs and tables. Our newly refurbished restaurant has been designed with a warm and contemporary feel, carefully designed to enable space. Like our bar, offering a large space to socialise with family and friends, whilst also enjoying our British menu. However, the most important aspect of any restaurant is the quality of food and service, and we are justifiably proud of both. Our menu is based on the principles of using high-quality local ingredients, freshly cooked food whilst being presented by our Head chefs Patrick and Raul with support from their team with care and attention.

The new menu is exciting (without being pretentious)and to my surprise very reasonably priced. We had traditional fish and chips(home prepared and cooked)which was lovely and had real chips too! Had a look at the wider menu and look forward to returning soon to try other dishes.
Went with my family for an evening meal, we were all really impressed by the food, very good quality, beautifully presented and good portions.
